6.3.2.13. Inlet collector

Prevention

On cars with the 2,0 liters engine, can determine car model ("Phase I" or "Phase II") by a form of an inlet collector. On the models "Phase I" the case of a butterfly valve is installed on the basis of an inlet collector, and the collector rises to a head of the block of cylinders up; fuel injectors are located from above an inlet collector and are easily available. On the models "Phase II" the case of a butterfly valve is installed from above an inlet collector, and the collector falls down to a head of the block of cylinders; fuel injectors are less available.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Models with the 1,6 l engine
1. Merge cooling liquid from the cooling system, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 2.4.5.
2. Execute the operations described in items 1-6 in subsection 6.3.2.10, and disconnect all elements from the case of a butterfly valve.
3. Remember or mark the provision of installation everything vacuum hoses and hoses of the cooling system of an inlet collector. Disconnect them from an inlet collector and if it is necessary, from the corresponding vacuum valves. Not to mix hoses at installation, mark each of hoses at removal.
4. Turn off a connection nut (it is specified by an arrow) and disconnect the tube of recirculation of exhaust gases connecting inlet and final collectors from the valve on the left side of an inlet collector.
5. Disconnect connection sockets from injectors from the sensor of temperature of cooling liquid. Get wires from all fixing clips and take away them from an inlet collector. If it is necessary, turn off fixing bolts and disconnect weight wires (are specified by shooters) from an inlet collector.
6. Turn off fixing bolts and remove a fixing arm from below of an inlet collector.
7. Release pressure from fuel system, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.2.6 then, release fixing collars and disconnect a hose of supply of fuel and a hose of the return pipeline on the left side of a fuel collector. Stop up openings of a hose and a fuel collector for prevention of leak of fuel and hit of dirt in system.
