Adjustment of the double switch

1. Switch lever

2. Transmission selector lever

3. Openings for adjustment

4. Drill of 4 mm

The switch is screwed in a forward part of a case of transmission and performs two functions – prevents inclusion of a starter only in provisions of the N or P selector and includes a backing signal in position of the selector R.

1. If the starter joins in other provisions than N or P, then the switch is faulty, or its adjustment is broken.
2. If also tail light is not turned on, then the switch should be checked.
3. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports.
4. Disconnect the socket from the switch.
5. Check resistance between conclusions in provisions of the N, P or R selector. At the serviceable switch in provisions of the N and P selector contacts 1 and 2 are closed, and in position of the selector R contacts 3 and 4 are closed.
6. If these contacts do not become isolated, then release bolts of fastening and adjust the switch.
7. If adjustment does not yield result, then replace the switch.

1. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports.
2. Disconnect the socket.
3. Turn off three bolts, get the switch from the selector mechanism.

1. Install the switch, tighten bolts.
2. Transfer the selector to situation N.
3. Insert into an opening in the top part of the selector a drill with a diameter of 4 mm and pass in a switch lever opening.
4. Tighten bolts and get a drill.
5. Attach wires and check operation of the switch.
