Half shafts transfer the rotating moment to wheels via internal and external CV JOINTS. On a part of cars on the right half shaft the intermediate shaft with a support is established. External Rzeppa CV JOINTS provide transfer of the rotating moment on the operated wheels. The CV JOINT consists of two shaped forks with 6 balls which mogu it is free to move in flutes of forks. CV JOINTS are closed by covers which are filled with lubricant. At the slightest damages covers should be replaced. Internal CV JOINTS consist of three rollers which are freely moving in longitudinal flutes of cups. Such design provides axial movement of a half shaft and replaces the shlitsevy sliding connection. Lubricant of roller hinges is put in a cover and replaced only at damage of a cover. On cars of late releases internal hinges ball, with a separator, external and internal holders.

The internal termination of a half shaft – shlitsevy, external – shlitsevy with a carving under a nave nut.
