2.3.1.2. Belt of the drive of the pump of the hydraulic booster

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Working under a forward part of the car, unscrew screws and remove a plastic guard under a wing to get access to a crankshaft pulley. For expansion of working space it is possible to remove also in addition an engine mudguard, having unscrewed screws.
2. Turn the crankshaft the face head dressed on a pulley bolt so that it was possible to examine belts (or a belt) on all length. Check existence on belts of cracks, traces of a podgoraniye or mechanical damages. Check also existence on a belt of glossy sites and stratifications. At detection of damages or wear tracks replace a belt.
3. Disconnect the battery from weight. On cars with the conditioner take off a conditioner compressor drive belt.
4. Release nuts (or bolts) an arm of the pump of the hydraulic booster.
5. Weaken a belt, having turned off an adjusting bolt, and take off a belt from pulleys.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Put on a belt on pulleys. If the new belt is established, then previously be convinced that its type in accuracy corresponds to type of replaced. Rotating an adjusting bolt, pull a belt.
2. Establish and adjust a conditioner compressor drive belt.

Adjustment of a tension

3. Avoid an excessive tension of a belt, otherwise wear of bearings of the generator amplifies.
4. The tension of a belt is checked in deflection size in the middle between two pulleys in the top part of a contour of the belt drive. Under the influence of the set effort the deflection of a belt has to be within norm.
5. For adjustment of a tension release the top and lower nuts (or bolts) a pump arm then rotate an adjusting bolt before receiving a normal tension. After adjustment turn the crankshaft on two turns and again check a belt tension. Tighten all nuts (and bolts) fastenings of the pump.
6. Establish the removed guards, a wheel and lower the car.
