Dismantling order

The easiest to disassemble the engine and to make all types of works at the figurative stand which is specially intended for repair of the engine. Such stands can be hired often. Before installation of the engine it is necessary to shoot a flywheel with the coupling mechanism with the stand to screw stand bolts in the block of cylinders (a crankshaft case).

If there is no stand, then it is possible to disassemble the engine having strengthened it on a strong workbench or on a floor. When dismantling without use of the stand be very careful during manipulations with the engine.

If you buy the ready restored engine, then at first it is necessary to remove all hinged units to install them subsequently just in the same order as well as at independent capital repairs. Treat such units:

 – the generator, and arms of the pump of the hydraulic booster and (or) compressor of the conditioner (depending on a car complete set);
 – distributor of ignition, candle and high-voltage wires;
 – pump of cooling liquid and hoses of the thermostat and radiator;
 – details of the carburetor or system of injection of fuel;
 – all sensors and electromagnetic valves together with conducting;
 – the soaking-up and final collectors;
 – oil filter;
 – the fuel pump – for carburetor engines;
 – engine mount details;
 – flywheel / drive plate of the hydrotransformer.

Prevention

At removal from the engine of hinged units, with special attention treat those trifles which can facilitate assembly of the engine. Apply tags on laying, epiploons, remote plugs, pins, bolts, washers, nuts, etc. that at assembly to establish them in former situation.

If the block of cylinders of an incomplete complete set is installed (i.e. the block of cylinders with adjusted and installed by the krivoshipno-conrod mechanism and piston group), then it is also necessary to remove a head of the block of cylinders, the oil pallet, the oil pump and chains of the drive of cam-shafts.

If it is planned to make capital repairs with full dismantling, then the engine it is necessary to sort and remove completely details of the internal device of the engine in the following order (if it is not stipulated especially see subsection 3.1.1 and subsection 3.1.2.2.1).

 – the soaking-up and final collectors;
 – oil pallet;
 – chains of the drive of cam-shafts with asterisks;
 – head of the block of cylinders;
 – flywheel;
 – conrod and piston group;
 – crankshaft.

Before dismantling and performing procedures of capital repairs be convinced, available all necessary equipment and tools. The list of necessary tools is provided in the beginning of this manual.

Assembly order

Before assembly prepare all necessary new spare parts, laying and a sealant, and also necessary tools and devices. Study the description of procedures of assembly to imagine the volume of the forthcoming works and once again to be convinced available all necessary. Besides traditional tools and materials the fixing structure for threaded connections is also required. Also liquid sealant for consolidation of demountable connections in which installation of laying is not provided will be necessary. The manufacturer recommends use of liquid Genuine Liquid Gasket sealant (is available on sale at Nissan car repair shops).

To save time and labor costs, assembly is recommended to be carried out in the following order:

 – bent shaft;
 – pistons assembled with rods;
 – head of cylinders and pushers;
 – chain (chains) of the mechanism of gas distribution;
 – oil pallet;
 – flywheel;
 – hinged units.

Before assembly all details have to be carefully cleared and dried, all defects are eliminated. Details should be laid out on absolutely pure desktop (or to contain in individual packings).
