12.3. Rack of a forward suspension bracket


Shock-absorbers of racks change only in couple.


1. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports.
2. Remove a wheel.
3. Disconnect a hydraulic actuator tube from a rack.
4. Turn off two nuts of fastening of a rack to a rotary fist (are specified by shooters) and disconnect a rack.
5. Ask the assistant to support a rack from below, and turn off three nuts of fastening of a rack to a cap of a mudguard of a motor compartment (are specified by shooters).


Not to turn off the central nut! Get a rack through a motor compartment.


1. Clamp the lower part of a rack in a vice through laying.
2. Screw nuts and упершись in hairpins the lever, turn off the top nut of a rod of the shock-absorber. Completely not to turn off a nut.
3. Squeeze a spring by means of adaptation so that the top plate could rotate by hand.
4. Turn out a rod nut, holding a rod from a provorachivaniye.
5. Remove a washer, laying, the top cap.
6. Remove the plug, the bearing, the top plate springs and the rubber buffer of a plate. Pay attention much installation of details.
7. Get a spring, a dust cover, the rubber buffer and a plate.
8. Check a condition of details, especially rubber buffers. If necessary replace.
9. Check existence of a leak from the shock-absorber and a condition of a rod on all length.
10. Check existence on the case of cracks and damages.
11. Check work of a rack, at first having nominated a rod to all length, and then moving and nominating a rod to length of 50-00 mm. Smooth resistance to movement of a rod has to be felt.
12. If traces of a leak, mechanical damages are observed, and the movement of a rod is followed by "breakthroughs", then the rack is subject to replacement.
13. The spring and all details can be established on a new rack.
14. Examine a spring.
15. If are found strong corrosion of a spring, crack on rounds, deformation or any signs of a doubtful state, then replace a spring.
16. Clamp a rack in a vice and install the rubber buffer a plate and a dust cover.
17. Squeeze a spring and establish in a plate. At installation the termination of a round has to come into deepening of a plate (shooter).
18. Install the top buffer and a plate, having correctly arranged a spring round in a plate. At installation of a rack of the shooter on the top plate it has to be turned in the cross direction outside (And – towards a forward part, In – the cross direction).
19. Install the bearing, the plug and the top cap.
20. Replace a nut and a washer of a rod, tighten a nut with the set moment, holding a rod.
21. Remove the device for compression of a spring.
22. Establish a rod nut cap.


1. Establish new laying of the top fastening of a rack.
2. Establish a rack so that hairpins entered mudguard openings, and the cut and an arrow on the top plate were turned in the cross direction outside.
3. Tighten nuts with the set moment.
4. Combine openings in a rack and a rotary fist, tighten new nuts and bolts with the set moment (nuts have to be turned on the car course).
5. Fix a hose by a bracket on a rack.
6. Establish an arm of conducting of the sensor of speed (on cars with ABS system).
7. Establish a wheel and lower the car.
