1. The oil cooler (if it is provided) is mounted on the case of an oil filter which will be screwed in a back part of the block of cylinders. |
2. For access to the oil cooler put the car on the emergency brake, lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports. Disconnect the battery from weight. |
3. Merge cooling liquid from the engine. It is also possible to press hoses near oil cooler unions, however in the latter case after a detachment of hoses a certain amount of liquid will be lost. |
4. Disconnect collars and remove hoses from the oil cooler. |
5. Put with paint or a marker a tag of mutual orientation of the oil cooler and case of an oil filter. |
6. Substitute the pallet of suitable volume under the oil cooler and turn off an oil cooler bolt. Wait so far oil will not cease to flow down in the pallet, then remove the oil cooler from the engine. Remove ring laying from the case and a bolt of fastening of the oil cooler. Surely replace this laying. |
7. Check a condition of the oil cooler, existence on it of damages, blow the union of cooling liquid and be convinced of their purity. At detection of damages, or at a contamination of internal channels the oil cooler should be replaced. |
