3.3.10. Check of a compression

Check of a compression allows to judge a condition of the engine. Namely – when checking it is possible to establish, as it should be or valves and pistons (piston rings) are worn-out. Besides results of check specify whether it is necessary to replace the engine or in a set to repair. For check the device for check of a compression is necessary.

The difference in pressure of separate cylinders of the engine can make at most 5,0 bars. If one or several cylinders have a difference of pressure of more than 5,0 bars, it indicates malfunction of valves, wear of piston rings or working surfaces of cylinders. If the limit of wear is reached, the engine should be repaired or replaced.

When checking a compression temperature of engine oil has to be at least +30 °C. Oil the filter has to have temperature of hands, if necessary warm up the engine. Temperature of the engine should not be too high since differently at a vyvinchivaniye of spark plugs it is possible to damage a carving in a head of cylinders.

1. Switch off ignition.
2. Remove nozzles.
3. Disconnect the fuel supply shutdown valve plug.


If do not disconnect the plug, at a provorachivaniye of the engine fuel will follow.

4. Check compression pressure.
5. Establish nozzles.
6. Insert the plug on the valve of reduction of quantity WITH.
