Check of a tension of a maple belt

To check a tension of a maple belt always at the cold engine.

1. Press a belt a thumb from above between pulleys (see. "Black tags" on rice. Belt arrangement).
2. Measure the size of breakdown and compare to control value. At the same time press on a belt with a force of 100 N (10 kg). It corresponds to approximately strong pressing by a thumb. If necessary delay a belt a spring dynamometer down.
3. If control value is exceeded, pull a belt.

Replacement of a maple belt

1. Weaken a lock nut.
2. Turn the adjusting screw until the belt can be taken off.
3. Take off maple a belt.
4. Impose a new maple belt and adjust a bolt on a certain value of a tension.
5. Put the lock clamp.
