6.3.1.8. Fuel pump


Prevention

You watch precautionary measures in subsection 6.3.1 before work.


Removal

The pump is removed together with the fuel level sensor.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the sensor, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.1.9.
2. If it is necessary, remove the filtering element from the basis of the fuel pump, then, release fixing clips and remove plastic casings from the fuel pump.
3. Wash out the fuel filter in solution with high temperature of ignition.
4. Examine the filter on existence of traces of a contamination or cracks, and replace it if it is necessary.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If it is necessary, install plastic casings on the pump and install the filter.
2. Check that casings were reliably established on the pump, then, install the fuel level sensor on the pump and establish it, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.1.9.
