1. Disconnect a wire of the negative plug of the accumulator. |
2. For receiving access to the sensor remove back sitting. |
3. Turn off fixing screws and lift a casing for receiving access to the sensor. |
4. Disconnect the connection socket(s) from the fuel level sensor and paste the socket of connection to a car body by means of an adhesive tape in order that it was not filled up for the fuel tank. |
5. Release pressure from fuel system (see subsection 6.3.1.7). |
6. Mark hoses not to mix them, then, release fixing collars of a hose of supply of fuel and a hose of the return pipeline. |
7. Disconnect both hoses from the fuel level sensor and stop up open openings of hoses. |
8. Remember the provision of an adjusting mark in the fuel level sensor (the arrow has to look the car forward). If there is no adjusting mark, put it. |
9. On models on which the sensor fastens by means of a big ring turn off and remove it from the fuel tank. It is the best of all to make it by means of the screw-driver installed in a cut on an edge of a lock ring. Accurately tapping on the screw-driver, turn off a lock ring counterclockwise so that it could be rotated a hand. |
10. On models on which the sensor fastens by means of bolts turn off and remove all fixing bolts and washers. |
11. On all models, accurately remove the sensor from above of the fuel tank, trying not to bend the float lever and not to spill fuel on an upholstery of seats or salon. |
12. At removal of the sensor disconnect the socket of connection of the fuel pump; push a hand in the fuel tank and squeeze a fixing clip to remove the fuel pump from a bottom of the fuel tank. |
13. Then, the fuel pump and the fuel level sensor can be removed from the fuel tank together. |
14. Remove a rubber sealing ring and you will throw out it; at installation it is necessary to use new. |
15. Weaken a fixing collar, then, disconnect a hose of the fuel pump from below of the fuel level sensor, and remove the sensor from the pump. |
16. Wash out the fuel filter in solution with high temperature of ignition. |
17. Examine the filter on existence of traces of a contamination or cracks, and replace it if it is necessary. |
