1. Disconnect the battery from weight and turn out spark plugs (cm. subsection 2.2.3). |
2. On a wire from a candle of the 1st cylinder find the corresponding conclusion on a cover of the distributor of ignition and apply with a piece of chalk a tag on the case of the distributor or on inflow of the block of cylinders opposite to which there is a conclusion of the 1st cylinder. Unhook distributor cover latches (if are provided), unscrew screws of fastening and uncover together with laying. |
3. Put the car on the emergency brake and transfer the check point lever to neutral situation. Lift a forward part of the car and establish on supports. Remove the right wheel. |
|
4. Unscrew screws and remove a plastic guard under a wing (it is specified by an arrow). |
|
5. Provide access to a crankshaft pulley bolt. |
6. On a wreath of a pulley there are adjusting risks which are combined with an index scale on a cover of chains of the drive of a cam-shaft. Risks are caused at an interval of 5 °. The first risk is located in 20 ° to VMT, and the last – in 5 ° after VMT. Risk, the corresponding VMT, is noted by yellow paint. |
7. Turn the crankshaft for a pulley bolt head clockwise (if to look on the right side of the car) before combination risks of VMT on a crankshaft pulley wreath with the index on a cover. |
8. At such position of the crankshaft pistons of the 1st and 4th cylinders are in VMT, and only one of them is in compression step VMT. If the runner of the distributor indicates a tag of a conclusion of the 1st cylinder, then the 1st cylinder is installed in compression step VMT. If the runner of the distributor specifies a conclusion of the 4th cylinder, then turn the crankshaft on 1 turn (360 °) clockwise, to situation when the runner indicates a tag of the 1st cylinder. Now the piston of the 1st cylinder will be exposed in compression step VMT. |
9. Turning the crankshaft on 180 ° clockwise concerning the provision of VMT of the 1st cylinder, it is possible to expose in VMT the piston of each cylinder according to an engine operating procedure. |
