6.3.2.12.1. Fuel collector and fuel injectors

Prevention

You watch precautionary measures in subsection 6.3.2 before work.

If you consider that the injector failed, try to clear it by means of an appropriate means for cleaning of injectors, such as Holts Redex Injector Treatment.

PHASE I MODELS

You watch subsection 6.3.2.11.1.

Do not forget that between injectors and fixing plates additional laying is established.

PHASE II MODELS

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the top section of an inlet collector, being guided by the instructions provided in subitem 20-25 of subsection 6.3.2.13.
2. Disconnect a vacuum tube from the fuel pressure regulator.
3. Release pressure from fuel system, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.2.6. Then, release fixing clips and disconnect a hose of supply of fuel and a hose of the return pipeline on the left side of a fuel collector (are specified by shooters (models with the 1,6 l engine)).
4. Release fixing clips and disconnect connection sockets from four injectors.
5. Turn off and remove fixing bolts of a fuel collector, then, accurately remove a fuel collector and injectors from an inlet collector and get it from a motive compartment.
6. Remove the laying established between a fuel collector and an inlet collector and remove consolidations of injectors from an inlet collector.
7. Turn off two fixing screws and remove a fixing plate and laying, having remembered as it was established, from the corresponding injector.
8. Squeeze out an injector and remove sealing rings. In the same way remove other injectors.
9. You will throw out consolidations and sealing rings; at installation it is necessary to use new.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is carried out upside-down removals. At installation it is necessary to pay attention to the next moments.
2. Before installation of injectors, establish on them new sealing rings on injectors (are specified by shooters).
3. Oil engine sealing rings for installation simplification, then, establish injectors on a fuel collector. Check that laying it was correctly established, then, establish fixing plates and tighten fixing screws.
4. Establish new consolidations of injectors on an inlet collector and establish laying between a fuel collector and an inlet collector. Establish a fuel collector on an inlet collector and establish fixing bolts.
5. In a diagonal order, since the middle, tighten fixing bolts till the required moment of an inhaling of a stage 1. Then, again, in the same order tighten bolts till the required moment of an inhaling of a stage 2.
6. Establish the top section of an inlet collector, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.2.13.
7. Check that all hoses were correctly connected and if it is necessary, fix them by means of collars.
8. Adjust an accelerator rope, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 6.3.2.3.
9. Upon completion of installation start the engine and check whether there is no fuel leak.
