6.4.2.3. The control system over release of vapors of fuel from fuel system
MODELS WITH THE CARBURETTOR ENGINE
Identification of connections of hoses of the coal filter
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. If you consider that the system is faulty, disconnect hoses from the coal filter and the thermal vacuum valve, and blow them. |
2. For check of the thermal vacuum valve which is installed on the right side of an inlet collector when the engine cold disconnect both hoses from the valve. Connect a hose to one of branch pipes of the valve and blow in it. The valve has to be closed and should not pass air. Start the engine and warm up it up to the normal working temperature. Again blow in a hose; the valve has to be open and air has to pass freely. If the valve does not work as it was described above, replace it. |
3. The coal filter is located in the right back corner of a motive compartment. The coal filter and its valve can be checked as follows. |
4. Walk along a hose "And" from the coal filter and disconnect it from troynikovy connection. Start the engine and try to involve in yourself air from a hose; the valve should not pass air, and the speed of operation of the engine has to increase a little. Connect a hose back to troynikovy connection. |
5. Walk along a hose "With" from the coal filter and disconnect it from the float-operated camera of the carburetor. Start the engine and blow in a hose; the valve should not pass air. Connect a hose back to the carburetor. |
6. Walk along a hose "In" from the coal filter and disconnect it from an inlet collector. When the engine is killed, blow in a hose and pull in yourself air from a hose; the valve should not pass air in one direction. Connect a hose back to an inlet collector. |
7. If when conducting the checks described in subitem 4-6 there was a leak of air through any of hoses, the coal filter and its valve needs to be replaced. |

THE PHASE I MODELS (MODEL OF RELEASE OF 1993, TILL JUNE) WITH THE 2,0 L ENGINE AND THE VSPRYSK MULTIPOINT SYSTEM OF FUEL
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. If you consider that the system is faulty, disconnect hoses from the coal filter installed in the right back corner of a motive compartment and blow them. |
|
2. The coal filter and its valve can be checked as follows. Disconnect hoses from the coal filter and blow in a branch pipe "And"; the valve should not pass air. Blow each of branch pipes "In" in turn. Both channels have to be open, and freely pass air. If checks did not give the expected results, the coal filter and the valve needs to be replaced. |

PERFORMANCE ORDER |
1. If you consider that the system is faulty, disconnect hoses from the coal filter and the electromagnetic valve, and blow them. On models with the 1,6 liters engine, the coal filter is located in the left back corner of a motive compartment, and the electromagnetic valve is located on the back party of an inlet collector. On models with the 2,0 liters engine, the coal filter is located on the left side of a motive compartment, and the electromagnetic valve is located on the left or lower side of an inlet collector. |
|
2. The electromagnetic valve can be checked using the provided scheme of connections. If it is necessary, remove the valve, being guided by the instructions provided in subsection 6.4.2.3.3 for access improvement. |
3. Blow in a branch pipe "And" and check that through it there did not pass air. Blow in a branch pipe "In" and check that air passed through this branch pipe and left a branch pipe "With". |
4. Through a safety lock connect the power supply on 12 Volts to the electromagnetic valve as it is shown in the drawing. After giving of tension, blow in a branch pipe "And" and check that air passed through the valve and left a branch pipe "In". Blow in a branch pipe "In" and check that air passed through the valve and left a branch pipe "With". |
5. If the electromagnetic valve does not work as it was expected, so it is faulty, and it needs to be replaced. |
6. The coal filter and the valve can be checked as it is described above. |
